1969 US original stereo pressing on Epic, BN 26429, with matrix numbers XSB 138476 and XSB 138477 in the deadwax. One of the genuinely scarce West Coast psych albums, and the only record the band made.
KAK came out of Davis and Sacramento, California. Gary Lee Yoder on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Dehner C. Patten on lead guitar, Joseph D. Damrell on bass and sitar, Christopher A. Lockheed on drums, tabla and harpsichord. Yoder had come out of Oxford Circle, and both he and Patten went on to join Blue Cheer for The Original Human Being. Produced by Gary R. Grelecki, cover painting by Edward Kaspar, art direction by Bob Ceto and John Berg.
Epic put almost nothing behind it and the album vanished on release, which is exactly why originals are hard to find today. Everything from Electric Sailor through the three part Trieulogy holds up as first rate acid rock.
