969 US original stereo white label promo on International Artists, IALP-12 on the label and spine with IA-LP #12 on the back cover. The label credits the band by their full name, Endle St. Cloud-In The Rain, and is marked Promotional and Not For Sale, with black lettering and the world logo at 12 o'clock. Produced and engineered by Fred Carroll, cover art by Bill Narum, who went on to do the ZZ Top artwork.
International Artists was the Houston label that gave us the 13th Floor Elevators, Red Krayola and Bubble Puppy, and this is one of the harder titles from the run to find. The record is built as a continuous piece, short piano interludes threaded between every song, so Street Corner Preacher, Professor Black, Jessica and Like A Badge arrive out of Piano A Tempo, Piano Scherzo, Piano Adagio and the rest. More collectors are looking for this promo than currently own one, which is not something you see often.
